@jemmabond Everybody is singing with a mike. The soundsystem in the Albert Hall requires it and otherwise there would have been no sound pick-up for the DVD. Look carefully at Warlow, JOJ, Ramin. they all have tiny mikes sitting/hidden somewhere.

THE DESCRIPTION IS MY FIRST NAME IN IT (GERARD. Oh poor Colm. The dislikes on this video are all Raoul. Just saw the stage performance in Edmonton last night. so so emotional. so powerful. sets were great and the transition between the scenes were done very well. So many times when one sees the movie first and then either reads the book or sees the adaption on stage one is slightly disappointed because the movies are the movies but was not disappointed last night. Going to watch the movie again... This won't play. I only got this on YouTube so I can link it to my TV from my phone, but I'm having to watch the whole thing on a tiny screen because these guys are pathetic with their licencing. Still my favorite movie after 13 years.

My heart says yes butmy vocal range says no. Puccini (d 1924) was reincarnated as Andrew Lloyd Webber (b 1948. Recommendation: Offer all broadway shows on YouTube for a course, they need to be professionally recorded. I'd enjoy watching and paying for many. To glance behind. So emotional. It was aired on Channel 7 Christmas Day 2016. Loved it, and especially, loved to see Michael Crawford make an appearance.  I think he was the original Phantom.

Just bought this movie for 14 #notsaltyatall

The way I see it, the phantom represents the spirit of Christine's father who lives inside her mind. When Christine sings it brings into question where she got this gift from. She believes it is the angel of her father still alive within her, and the Opera House's lair is her mind (Look at your face in the mirror. I am there inside) where she goes to live in darkness with her musical genius father who writes songs for her and commands her to sing. The monkey with cymbals toy is the last object she has from the days of her father's life, and its music represents the last real thing left from her father before she went to the orphanage, was taunted and ridiculed, and was taken away by Madame Giry. Raul is a childhood friend, and when Christine and he fall in love it becomes a battle between Raul (light and love) and the Phantom (darkness and fear. Raul doesn't quite understand at first what haunts Christine, but he truly loves her and figures it out by the time Christine goes to the tomb of her father and for the first time tries to let go. Christine is seduced once again at her father's tomb but Raul tells her That thing is not your father and takes her away. In the end, Christine tears away the false mask which covers her wounded and scarred heart, wounded and scarred from the hurt on her soul of her father's death, and she gives that wound compassion and love, lets it go, and it lets her go. She goes to live with Raul. But as we see at the beginning at the auction where Raul purchases the toy that still works and at the end when the Phantom leaves a rose at her grave, the scar and her father's spirit never really goes away. The deaths by strangulation in the play are symbolic of the Phantom's taking away the voices of various people in its wreaking havoc on Christine's life.

Andrew's reaction makes me happy. He looked so proud. 😊. @thephantomofv He couldn't attend Saturday evening as he was performing at the Palladium himself. On Sunday, with no Palladium performance, he was there. What a luxury. I love how. I have a question: if i were to buy this movie would i have it forever or could i only watch it once. The actual broadway version is very good too, and I recommend 25 th anniversary too.

I think it is a great move that they posted the full vid here in youtube. I only get to watch musicals in movies like Singing in the rain and this my first time watching Phantom of the opera and it's a stage performance. now I am convinced to watch this musical in person. added to my bucket list for sure. Anyone else notice they are doing the actions for Music of the Night? XD. Just take a moment and appreciate the lighting in this number. Those guys are horribly overlooked. @MrSean24601 I agree with you but I think in part this has to do with availability during the build-up phase of the performance.

Phantom : Sing for me Me : aaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA cough aaaaaAA cough. Ramin and Sierra will always be Erik and Christine for me. What I wouldnt give to see them perform live lol. I do not accept that the Phantom's genius was turned to madness. It was the so-called normal society that was mad. The same truth exists in all times. He is good, but nobody is as good as Michael Crawford. There is simply no comparison at all.

The way Ramin sang “my power over you grows stronger yet” gave me chills! Edit: I just saw him grab her wrist when she touches his mask. Fantastic detail. Edit 2: Sierras high note at the end is amazing.
